Spring flowers to brighten your day

It’s a rainy day here in Pennsylvania & I thought you could use some spring flowers from our garden to brighten your day.

Spring is nature’s way of saying “Let’s Party!” – Robin Williams

The purple irises spread like crazy! These are around our flagpole in the front.

The tulips are blooming – so beautiful!

Our first signs of spring – the crocus

Well, hello there!

Glitter & Jewel Easter Eggs

Sharing a picture of these glittered & jewelled Easter eggs my daughter made a few years ago with my step-mother.  I am amazed that these delicate eggs are still in good condition. These are blown out eggs that were dyed and then decorated with glitter glue & craft jewels. I’ve put them in a pretty crystal bowl for our table decoration.

If you’ve never blown out an egg,  check out a tutorial on Pinterest.  These are great for older kids, especially if the novelty of hard boiled eggs is gone. I remember making Easter Egg Trees as a kid using these hollowed eggs. They’re quite a bit sturdier than you’d expect (although you still need a gentle hand).

Loving this style – Floral Kimonos

Aren’t these floral kimonos so pretty? They are perfect for spring! Wear them over pants, jeans, shorts, dresses, even bathing suits.  All but one of these are reasonably priced less than $50 (most are less than $30) – can you pick out the one that is $300?
