DIY Princess bracelet – Beauty and the Beast

I’m a jewelry making dabbler/beginner and found myself pinning some charms on Pinterest that I wanted to try making. Since I’m loving charm bracelets, I thought it would be an easy project to complete on a rainy day. Naturally, this one was a Beauty & the Beast theme since I really loved the movie that was released this spring.

Supplies needed:

Small cabachon settings

Disney Princess Nail art

jump rings

beads

elastic beading cord

Mod Podge

Glitter

I picked up these Small cabachon settings because they seem pretty versatile. In two of the settings, I used the Disney Princess Nail art decals with some Mod Podge as a base and a top layer.  The nail art is sort of curved but flattens out with a little pressure.  In the third setting, I used a layer of Mod Podge with a layer of glitter. It needed another layer, so I let it set for a bit & added more Mod Podge & glitter.

While the charms set, I  beaded up a quick child size bracelet with elastic cord and some yellow, lavender and white beads. Then, using the jump rings, attached the charms to the bracelet.

You can do this for any theme, any color! I’m going to experiment with other decals, papers and materials for the charms. I really loved how the glitter charms came out, which is what my original inspiration was on Pinterest. Come visit my Crafts – jewelry making board and follow me for more ideas.
